With the subplot of the taking a backseat with volume 5 of Plus Sized Elf, it's up to the comedy to carry the volume. And for the most part it delivered, though not every joke stuck the landing. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed and have mostly positive thoughts on the volume. But it feels like the series might be heading to a crossroads of whether it can remain fresh or not. It's reached a length that most other series similar to it tend to fizzle out, but I have a good feeling Plus Sized Elf will rise to the occasion.But all that being said the karaoke chapters are a personal highlight. Not only did it have me laughing but it also managed to surprise me with an unexpected twist. It's always interesting to classic demi human inspirations coming to play a part.
